Cotswolds Wedding Planner

The Cotswolds wedding planner who has been doing this for 25 years — and still takes on very few.

Weddings in the Cotswolds are not short of options. What they are short of is planners who know the difference between a venue that photographs beautifully and one that actually works for 180 guests on a wet Saturday in October. Lucy has been planning weddings in this part of England for 25 years — across walled gardens, private estates, converted barns, and manor houses that never appear on listing sites.

The Credentials

Why Lucy, not a generic planner who happens to cover the area

There is a meaningful difference between a planner who knows the Cotswolds and one who has spent 25 years building relationships with its venues, its suppliers, and its seasonal rhythms. Lucy is co-author of the Debrett’s Wedding Guide — the invitation came because of what she had learned across 40+ weddings in this part of England. That is not something you can arrive at without the time.

Venues that don’t appear on listing sites

Some of the finest settings for a Cotswolds wedding are never advertised. They are private estates, family properties, and blank-canvas spaces that only become available through a planner with the right relationships. Lucy has worked across Soho Farmhouse, private properties throughout the Chipping Norton, Kingham, and Daylesford corridor, and in walled gardens and converted barns across Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire. She knows which of them actually work for the kind of wedding you are imagining.

Featured in Tatler and House & Garden

Both publications have featured Lucy’s work in editorial contexts — not paid placements, but editorial judgements that her work and her taste belong in the same conversation as their readership. House & Garden, in particular, is the definitive British authority on the kind of life that Cotswolds weddings are part of.

Another amazingly fabulous party arranged by Lucy Attwood. This is my third time of working with Lucy and each party has been so unique and different from the last — but definitely no less spectacular. They have all been filled with complexities, which are made simple by Lucy’s efficiency and organisation. She pulls together all the different elements seamlessly, so as the host, all you have is the fun of the planning and the fun of the party itself.

Common Questions

Questions worth asking

How far in advance should I book a Cotswolds wedding planner?

For a full-service Cotswolds wedding, the earlier the better — ideally 18 months to two years in advance. The best venues, caterers, and florists in the Cotswolds are often booked very early, and a planner who is sourcing them for you needs time to secure your first choices rather than your second. Lucy takes on a small number of weddings each year, which means her own diary also fills early. If you are planning a 2026 or 2027 Cotswolds wedding, an early conversation is always worthwhile.

What is the difference between a venue coordinator and a full-service wedding planner?

A venue coordinator manages the venue. A full-service wedding planner manages everything else — the creative concept, every supplier beyond the venue, the entertainment, the guest logistics, and the delivery on the day. When something goes wrong (and something always requires solving), the venue coordinator’s responsibility ends at their venue’s door. A full-service planner solves it before you hear about it. The result, for the couple, is that you arrive at your wedding as a guest.

Do you work on weekday weddings in the Cotswolds?

Yes. A well-planned weekday wedding in the Cotswolds can work beautifully — many couples find that their best suppliers are more available, and some venues offer meaningfully better value on weekdays. The planning process is identical regardless of the day. If you are considering a weekday wedding, it is worth having a conversation early to understand which venues and suppliers work particularly well mid-week.

If you are planning a Cotswolds wedding

If you are planning a Cotswolds wedding and want to talk it through, I am happy to have that conversation with no obligation on either side.

I respond personally to every enquiry within 48 hours. No pitch, no proposal. Just a genuine conversation about what you are imagining and whether I am the right person to help you deliver it.
